Roof
Inspection
| Infrared technology
detects wet roofing insulation because it conducts more heat
than dry insulation . Infrared pinpoints the problem areas
for repair and prevents unnecessary destruction of the roof
to search for potential problem areas. Addressing the wet
problem areas prevents the spread of moisture and in turn
saves money otherwise spent on replacing entire roofs. |

| The central area is in
need of immediate repair after being found that it was saturated
with moisture during a daytime interior infrared survey. |

Scanning Roof with Infrared Saves Time, Energy and Money
|
| In the past,
inspecting a roof to find the source of water intrusion was
destructive and time consuming. But now, because water’s unique
thermal properties make it visible on the surface of building
materials and within the materials themselves, non-destructive
thermal scans are replacing ceiling removal and probing moisture
meters. Infrared thermography allows our inspector to scan the roof
for the water intrusion point without removing the ceiling and
contents of the room. This non-destructive approach saves time,
energy and money. |

| We can easily create a
single image of an entire roof. By use FLIR Image Builder software
to "stitch" multiple images into one large collage. |
